Those who've invested in 3D printing are starting to see a little financial volatility lately as the industry starts to take interesting new paths that may have some 3D printing companies worried. One of those recent worries was when Amazon.com recently announced they were getting into the 3D printing fray by offering hundreds of different 3D-printed products. It sent a brief signal that perhaps online (and brick and mortar) stores could end up providing us with everything we need from a 3D printer rather than buy a 3D printer for ourselves.
Much of this might sound like a major worry for 3D printer makers, even if it's really overblown. In reality, it's likely going to help 3D printer makers in the long run based on one thing: Competition against Amazon.
