McIntosh MT10 Turntable $2200 in Carbondale, Illinois For Sale

Here it is! In a world of gorgeous turntables, this is the "fairest of them all"...well if you're a Mac fan...and you are or you wouldn't be here! ;-) Actually, that's not fair, given the performance of this table you might be here for the sound rather than the brand, but you will know the brand at the least.

The first thing is this table is EASY...by that I mean not finicky and came perfectly setup right out of the box as advertised. As well, it has stayed consistent...every time I have strobed this thing it is dead on as to speed. I get a lot of questions about how the table acquits itself against others in the price range and the answer is an emphatic "Just fine!". I am not saying this is the end-all by comparison of the myriad of table/motor/plinth/arm/cartridge possibilities out there at the price, just that it has NOTHING to apologize for as the sound is to die for.
The bass is solid, the highs detailed without being etched, and the soundstage wide and detailed. It is...MUSICAL! I don't mean that as a catch-all, just that it sums up what it is all about. Vocals that are liquid gold, warm woody instruments, shimmering brass, kick drums that kick, and electric guitars that snarl and bite and leap from the speakers. I leave the reviewing to the above as it seems impossible to convey relative performance without two tables side-by-side, and that ultimately what you are paying for is the emotional experience achieved at this level of gear...and this delivers on it.
This unit has ZERO visible flaws I can see and is LIKE NEW (I say this without hyperbole). Check the photos to see for yourself. It includes EVERYTHING it originally came with to include the box, packing, manual, power supply, etc. It will be shipped just as it was from the factory packing-wise. The cartridge had to be replaced due to an accident to the stylus and the new cartridge has less than 200 hours on it.
